We want to keep learners connected to their peers, content, and you! However, we recognize that as an educator you may feel apprehensive because you may not have had much (if any) training regarding the educational needs of a student with a chronic illness in your classroom. This is where we can help and you can be a hero. At the Living Through Learning Foundation we will:
- Help you utilize the latest educational technology so your student with a chronic health conditions can video conference into class in a safe and secure manor.
- Provide education on the specific chronic health condition effecting a student in your class.
- Provide you learning structures and strategies that your student can implement in the hospital, at home, or in school.
- Training, in-services, and webinars on best practices in educating students with chronic health conditions.
Trainings Best practices for meeting the educational needs of students with chronic health conditions. The Living Through Learning Foundation will tailor training to your staffing and population needs. These trainings can be provided either on-line or in person.
Webinars The LTLF staff will host a series of topic specific Webinars for educators. This will allow teachers, administrators, and staff across the country to meet, discuss, support, and collaborate together as they have parallel experiences based on the families they are working with.
In-services The LTLF staff will provide in-services to educators in the metropolitan New York area. These in-services are designed to be informative, thought provoking, and inspiring to teachers, staff, and administrators. Typically these in-services will be provided in a general manor; however, upon request information can be geared toward a specific health condition.
